Melissa H. White, MPA, HS-BCP
Melissa is the chief of school and community living. She is a seasoned non-profit executive who specializes in strategic planning and team development. She is dedicated to service excellence and is an inspired ambassador for organizational mission.
Prior to joining Crotched Mountain School, Melissa served as a senior leader for Venture Community Services in Sturbridge, Massachusetts as the vice president of Community and Affiliate Services. She was responsible for leading the agency’s largest service division which included numerous community-based adult services such as community-based living, adult family care, placement supports and in-home services with a workforce of more than 400 staff. Previously, she oversaw Venture’s quality assurance and behavioral health departments.
Her background also includes experience in human resource management, marketing and community relations and long-term care services.
Throughout her time at Venture, Melissa was an active member of the Sturbridge business community. She served on the board of the Central Massachusetts South Chamber of Commerce for 10 years, serving as chair during the last two years of her term.
Melissa holds a master of Public Administration – Healthcare Administration (MPA) from Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA, a bachelor of science in Business Administration from Becker College in Worcester and is a board certified human service practitioner (HS-BCP).
