Equine Assisted Activities
Through Crotched Mountain's Equine Collaborative, people of all abilities can experience the benefits of working with horses. Activities such as grooming, leading and petting horses can help individuals improve coordination, motor skills and cognitive abilities. For some, being in the presence of gentle horses offers a safe environment for learning how to build a trusting relationship. And for others, horses provide a backdrop for learning and personal growth.
Therapeutic Horse Experience (THE)
THE offers children and adults the opportunity to interact with horses through groundwork. Activities include grooming, petting, leading, learning parts of the horse, painting horses, bathing and other horse-related experiences. Therapeutic benefits include building gross and fine motor skills, improving cognitive skills, socialization and building confidence.
Program dates TBD.
