Physical Therapy

Crotched Mountain School students receive physical therapy in a variety of settings on our campus. Our physical therapists (PTs) are skilled in working with students with multiple disabilities and determining the most effective therapeutic approaches for each individual. They work with students to strengthen muscles and encourage return of motion so that individuals can be as independent as possible. They work closely with therapists across all disciplines to evaluate each student’s level of physical functioning and recommend therapeutic approaches to maximize their mobility at school, home and in the community. Our physical therapists may recommend solutions including mobility equipment, alternative positioning or modifications within classroom and home settings.
