GREENFIELD, NH—John F. Smitka, Jr., Esq. of Wellesley, Massachusetts has joined the Crotched Mountain Foundation Board of Trustees. He also serves Crotched Mountain as a member of the Investment Committee.
An accomplished legal and investment professional, John’s law career has encompassed major law firms and corporate general counsel of a Boston-based utility holding company. Currently, he is Partner and Chief Compliance Officer at Signal Ridge Capital Partners in Natick, Massachusetts and does specialized legal work in his spare time.
Mr. Smitka graduated from Colgate and holds MBA and JD degrees from Boston College. He has served as a destroyer office in the US Navy. John is also a Trustee of the Hubbard Brook Research Foundation, North Woodstock, NH, which is the longest running ecosystem study in the world. He and his wife Amy are the parents of Andrew, a graduate of Crotched Mountain School, who happily remains a member of the Crotched Mountain Family.
