Make a big difference in some little lives.

A new group of young children at Crotched Mountain urgently needs new spaces to live, learn, and play. We’ve built bedrooms and a playground. Now your help is needed to complete this one-of-a-kind initiative with the addition of four new classrooms to go along with our new Mellon residential living space.

One in 59 children in the United States have an autism diagnosis. One in six have a developmental disability. Fallout from the opioid crisis that is devastating our communities has affected people of all ages and, increasingly, young children.

These trends are causing a sharp increase in referrals of children as young as four years old to Crotched Mountain School. We call them our “Littles.” A few of these children have strong family supports. Most do not. Nearly all have experienced significant trauma.

And some arrive at our doorstep, holding only a bag filled with a few clothes and a favorite stuffed toy.

They need us. They need you.

At Crotched Mountain School, every child enjoys a safe space with caring people who have highly specialized skills to address emotional traumas, developmental delays, autism diagnoses, and other unique challenges.

This is where Crotched Mountain excels, thanks to the gifts you and others have provided to us over the years. Today, we need your help to care for these young children coming to Crotched Mountain.

The time to make your impact is now – these children are here.

Together, let’s step up to the great challenge of our time and do our part to transform young lives, to provide hope, to give refuge, and to show some very special children a bright future.

They are the Littles.

And, together, we can help them grow.
