What’s a Residential Counselor?
Whether it’s days, overnights, or weekend shifts, a Residential Conselor is a critical part of a high-functioning team, devoted to serving students and adults with disabilities in our various residential programs. At Crotched Mountain there are many opportunities for advancement, as Residential Counselors often move up to coordinate entire programs.

What’s a Paraeducator?
A Paraeducator works in the classroom, under the guidance of the teacher. Paraeducators at Crotched Mountain School play a vital role, supporting our students in their daily learning and living skills as well carrying out the classroom strategy and IEP goals. It is a challenging job–but there are few professional experiences as rewarding as helping a student with a disability achieve his or her goals and move one step closer to maximum independence.

  • looking to kick off a career in the field of education, counseling, clinical work, or human services
  • patient, empathetic, creative, flexible, and inspired to help others
  • who’s a team player and wants to take a leading role in a dynamic, challenging learning environment

Pay and Benefits

  • $13.00 to $14.50 an hour with an opportunity to earn more with additional responsibilities
